My Top Colorado Ski Resorts

Breckenridge • Vail • Copper Mountain

Welcome to my Colorado ski page! Im Adrian Krukiel and I’ve been skiing my whole life, and it’s one of my favorite ways to challenge myself and have fun. Colorado is my go-to state because the views are unreal and the mountains have terrain for every level. Below are my top three resorts: Breckenridge, Vail, and Copper Mountain. Thanks for visiting, hopefully this gives you some ideas for your next ski trip!

🏔️ My Top 3 Resorts

#1 Breckenridge

All-terrain + personal milestone resort

I have been skiing at Breckenridge since I was very young, and it is where I first learned to ski, making it especially meaningful to me. The resort offers an excellent variety of terrain, including green, blue, black diamond, and double black diamond runs, making it suitable for skiers of all skill levels. Breckenridge is also where I completed my first double black diamond run, an experience that challenged me and helped me build confidence while improving my abilities.

#2 Vail

Huge mountain + tougher expert zones

Vail is noticeably larger than Breckenridge and offers an expansive mountain with endless terrain to explore. In my experience, it is somewhat less beginner-friendly due to its extensive expert terrain, particularly in the back bowls, where the black diamond runs can feel more challenging and demanding. During my visits, I have primarily skied black diamond runs and have not yet attempted Vail’s double black diamonds, as they currently exceed my skill level. Despite this, Vail offers incredible scenery, excellent tree skiing, and consistently smooth terrain, making it an enjoyable and memorable destination.

#3 Copper Mountain

Terrain parks and freestyle

Copper Mountain has a strong freestyle focus and is an excellent destination for skiers and snowboarders interested in terrain parks, jumps, and technical progression. The resort features an impressive halfpipe and a wide range of park elements designed to help athletes develop their skills and style. Copper is also well known for its dedicated training resources, including areas where individuals can safely practice techniques before applying them on the mountain. This makes it an ideal environment for anyone looking to improve their freestyle abilities.
